Few songs tackle life's most difficult realities with both honesty and hope. In We’re Still Growing Through Time, Juanita Moorehigh delivers one of the most heartfelt performances in the Illusions of Music catalog, telling the story of how medical cannabis can help bring comfort, dignity, and precious moments to those facing a life-limiting illness. Rather than focusing on loss, the song celebrates the gift of time itself and the opportunity to continue creating meaningful memories with family and friends.
Through touching lyrics and an emotional vocal performance, Juanita reflects on the simple moments that become priceless when time grows short: shared laughter, family gatherings, stories told around a table, and the comfort of knowing that every additional day is an opportunity to connect with the people who matter most. The song honors the role that compassion, medicine, and human connection can play in helping individuals make the most of the time they have.
Yet Growing Through Time is ultimately not a song about death. It is a song about legacy. As the story unfolds, it reminds us that the people we love never truly disappear. Their voices echo in our memories, their lessons live on in future generations, and their presence remains woven into the lives they touched. Every smile, every tradition, and every cherished memory becomes a way for their story to continue.
The accompanying video brings this message to life through powerful imagery that reflects both the fragility and beauty of the human journey. It serves as a reminder that while our time together may be limited, the impact we leave behind can endure forever. Growing Through Time is a moving tribute to resilience, remembrance, and the enduring bonds that connect us long after a loved one is gone.
