Some songs are inspired by events. Others are inspired by people. Field of Change was written as a heartfelt love letter to the passionate community behind Texas HempstaLK, a celebration of the advocates, educators, musicians, and supporters who continue to help grow the hemp movement one conversation at a time. Featured on the Illusions of Music album High Clouds In Texas, this uplifting track captures the welcoming spirit and sense of discovery that make hemp festivals such transformative experiences for so many attendees.
The story follows a first-time festival visitor who arrives with curiosity and leaves with a completely new perspective. Surrounded by music, friendship, education, and a shared belief in the promise of hemp, they begin to see a world that is far greener, brighter, and more hopeful than they ever imagined. What starts as a simple visit becomes a journey of awakening, connection, and personal growth.
The accompanying video brings that transformation to life through colorful imagery and vibrant festival-inspired scenes that reflect the energy of the hemp community. As the song unfolds, viewers are invited to experience the excitement of discovery through the eyes of someone encountering this culture for the very first time. It's a reminder that meaningful change often begins with a single conversation, a new experience, or a willingness to view the world from a different perspective.
Whether you're a longtime supporter of industrial hemp or someone just beginning to explore its possibilities, Field of Change captures the optimism, unity, and sense of purpose that continue to drive the movement forward. It stands as both a tribute to the Texas HempstaLK family and an anthem for anyone whose perspective has been forever changed by the people they met along the way.
