Caspers’s Corner is a mini-series in which I share my personal poems that I’ve written over the years that I have now set to music and produced animation for.
In this segment, I share a poem I wrote in 1982 to celebrate the birth of my son.
I did try to add a DISNEY-TOUCH to the presentation. Way back in the 1960's, 'The Wonderful World Of Disney' would open with Tinker Bell flying around the Magic Castle lighting it up and setting off fireworks in the sky; then, Walt Disney would introduce the featured film from his office.
I have a Cannabis Fairy flying around the Magic Hemp Castle, lighting it up and setting off fireworks in the sky and then I introduce the featured film from my office.

Welcome to the world of the unicorn,
that mythical land where dreams come true;
a place where rainbows come through Light
with pots of gold that await for you.
A place where life’s a panacea
that’s filled with endless times of fun!
Where every day’s a pony ride;
Where warmth of Love comes through the Son.
Marvel in the joy of living!
This Life is YOURS — reach up and take it!
Your mom and I want you to know
that we’re so glad that you could make it!
Spend your time in Sherwood Forest,
chase shooting stars along the way;
or wander through the Looking Glass
and have tea with Alice every day.
Soar with Poppins to heights unknown,
cure all that ails with Dr. Seuss;
and when you’re sad and feel alone
meet Brothers Grimm or Mother Goose.
Enjoy the gift that’s found in giving.
When glory sleeps, reach down and wake it!
Realize, in time, that you will know:
With God within you’ll always make it!
