Dr. Pichette’s story begins with military service. As a Marine Corps veteran, she earned honors including the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, and a Meritorious Mast; recognition’s that reflect her discipline, leadership, and unwavering dedication. After her military career, she transitioned into nursing, where she spent over 30 years specializing in psychiatric and geriatric care. Her work spanned diverse settings from nursing homes to hospitals, always with a focus on improving outcomes for vulnerable populations in the community.

Her pursuit of excellence led her to Salve Regina University, where she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in May 2023. She is now a Clinical Research Nurse and Substitute Investigator at the Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center, part of Hartford HealthCare’s Institute of Living. There, she contributes to the COBRA Lab; a research initiative exploring cognition, brain imaging, behavior, and genetic variation.
