The Soundtrack Of Cannabis Freedom

Some artists play music. Others live it. And then there’s Justin James Bridges, the Texas activist-musician who performs as Mad Dabber 710; a name that’s become synonymous with cannabis culture, healing, and unapologetic truth. Bridges doesn’t just sing about change. He tours for it, organizes festivals around it, and uses every chord, lyric, and beat to push the movement forward. Whether he’s headlining a hemp rally or raising funds for cannabis prisoners, his work is a living anthem for resilience and plant-powered revolution.

The Cannabis Common Sense Tour: Music That Mobilizes

Bridges is the founder of The Cannabis Common Sense Tour, a national campaign that blends live music with cannabis education and advocacy. The tour raises awareness about medical cannabis as a tool for healing; the urgent need for legalization and reform; support for activists and patients harmed by prohibition. Each stop on the tour is a rally, a concert, and a classroom rolled into one. It’s activism with a back-beat and it’s changing minds across the country.

Under his stage name Mad Dabber 710, Bridges delivers a genre-bending mix of hip hop, funk, blues, and rock, all infused with cannabis culture and social commentary. His lyrics are bold, his guitar work is soulful, and his message is clear: cannabis heals, and the truth deserves a mic.

Medication Recreation - the title track of his breakthrough album

Released on July 10, 2013 (a nod to 7/10, the dabber’s holiday), ‘Medication Recreation’ chronicles Bridges’ personal healing journey after a hand injury from a brutal assault by police left him unable to play guitar. The assault he sustained from the Portland Police also left him wheelchair bound for several years. Using cannabis salve and full extract oil, he regained his ability to perform; starting at first with just his thumb. Over time, he turned recovery into rhythms. Even better news, he is able to walk again and even dance on stage.

Bridges didn’t pick up a guitar until just before his 21st birthday. But once he did, he never looked back. His rapid mastery and emotional depth earned him spots alongside legends like: Muruga Booker, David Winans II and Dennis Coffey in Muruga Cosmic Boogie; Booker & Bridges DaLight; Los Marijuanos, Swisha House, and other icons of cannabis culture. He’s been nominated for the Detroit Music Awards and Phoenix Cannabis Awards, and his live shows are known for their raw energy, genre fusion, and activist spirit.

Texas HempstaLK 2025: A Cultural Milestone

At Texas HempstaLK 2025, Bridges helped transform the event into a revolutionary celebration of hemp, freedom, and innovation. Held at the Texas Music River Ranch, the festival featured three stages of music and a Veterans’ Green Zone for healing and ceremony. Bridges’ leadership and performance anchored the event, proving that cannabis culture is about more than consumption, it’s about connection, creativity, and community.

Justin James Bridges is more than a musician. He’s a movement. His work bridges the gap between art and activism, pain and healing, protest and celebration. He’s a voice for the voiceless. A rhythm for the revolution. He is a reminder that cannabis isn’t just a plant, it’s a path to justice, joy, and transformation. If you believe in freedom, healing, and the power of music to move hearts and minds, Justin James Bridges is a name worth knowing and music by Mad Dabber 710 needs to be added to your playlist for sharing.
